Celebrating 50 years of families caring for families

In 1947, Pronger Smith Medical Care was founded by Dr. Earle I. W Pronger and Dr. Kenneth Smith. Located at High and Gregory Streets in Blue Island, Illinois. This clinic was just the beginning of their vision for health care. After expanding the Blue Island facility to over 30,000 square feet, Pronger Smith expanded it's service to a growing southwest suburban population by acquiring a facility in Orland Park in 1982. Our high technology, state of the art medical facility in Tinley Park, Illinois is one of the newest and most modern medical facilities in the area.

For 50 years, Pronger Smith Medical Care has been growing and changing to keep meeting the needs of all our patients living throughout the Chicagoland and tristate area. We've become a multi-specialty group, with thirty-nine physicians all committed to meeting most every patient need and practicing high quality, cost-effective medicine.

In our 50 years history of caring for generations of our neighbors, Pronger Smith has always remained a family. We're proud to have 11 second generation Husband/Wife and Father/Son-Daughter physician teams and to be long-standing partners with St. Francis, Palos Community and Christ Hospitals.
